Staff and Governors celebrated excellent achievements again this year. Students at all levels secured grades matching their highest expectations and in many cases, exceeding their targets.
Headline Figures include:
76% achieved Grade 4+ in both English and Mathematics
6% of all grades were Grade 9
19% of all grades were at 8+
32% of all grades were at 7+
51% of all grades were at 6+
69% of all grades were at 5+
83% of all grades were at 4+
Best average grade in College this year was awarded to Janina Parry who achieved seven Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and an A* at an average of 8.63.
Theresa Herron also achieved seven Grade 9s, Ciara Marsh and Finley Norton both achieved six Grade 9s, and Rebekah Yousef achieved five Grade 9s.
19 students achieved ten Grades 9-7 including Renji Babu, Bethany Bacasnot, Isabelle Delahunt,
Gabrielle Forster, Ewan Gordon, Michael Gowie, Theresa Herron, Oliwia Kowalska, Olivia Makulec, Ciara Marsh, Josephine Morgan, Finley Norton, Janina Parry, Isabel Payne, Ciara Stables, Shanaz Sharonsenthil, Hannah Szantho, Amelia Villiers-Prosser and Ethan Woolley
Father McAndrew, Chair of Governors said ‘the students and teachers have to be commended for these exceptional results’.

A Level Results in Areté 2018
A Level provision in AreteĢ is well established and St Bede’s continues to be amongst the best in the city.
Some 68 students completed their study with us and they are now celebrating the following successes.
A* - C 72% A* - E 98%
2 A* - E 96% 1 A* - B 69%
Average Grade C+
84% of the students are planning to go on to higher education and of these 32% have confirmed places at prestigious Russell Group institutions.
We are delighted to report some outstanding individual performances. Students achieved grades that surpassed their expectations but not those of their teachers. We celebrated all grades whether they were A* or E; whatever the grades we are confident they reflected ability and effort made.
97.5% of those who studied the academically challenging EPQ achieved a grade C with 66% achieving A*-B.
