Year 10 Art students were given the opportunity last week to work with the professional 3D sculpture artist, James Lake. Under his instruction, they had the whole day to create a cardboard-constructed head in the style of his work.
Using this sustainable resource, James encouraged the students to think about how to make creative pieces out of materials that can be reused and have very successful effects, without having an impact on our environment.
This fitted in so well with the college's work on Catholic Social teaching and 'Care for Creation'.
The students really enjoyed this whole day workshop and now have the opportunity to develop it further using their own Identity as a theme.
