    Young Enterprise awarded Best Company

Congratulations to St. Bede's Catholic College Young Enterprise team 'Books of Life' who were awarded Best Company at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway Trade Fair on Saturday, 7th March 2020.

The team launched their new book - 'How Can We Help? The Oceans.'  The book sees the return of their anonymous character in a quest to free a terrified turtle from the plastic heap the ocean has become. The character realises they need to change their ways and vows to limit the amount of single use plastic and to reinforce the message, the team sold reusable cotton bags.

As part of the trade fair competition, the team faced questioning from 3 judges and a mystery shopper at their trade stand, and 4 members of the team faced tough Bristol businessmen and women at the Dragon's Den.

The whole team were congratulated on their consistent branding, excellent customer service and enthusiasm for their cause.  They also won the Best Dragons’ Den Pitch and secured funding from the Dragons. This is the first time that St. Bede’s have achieved this award which is an incredible achievement.

The team now look forward to the Area Final in April.  Good luck!
