St. Bede's Catholic College

ST Bede's

Catholic College

    Severe Weather

In the event of severe weather, a judgement will be made early in the morning by the Principal about the closure of the college.

Live information will be posted on the College website, our twitter feed @stb_bristol and our college answerphone.  We also have the facility to text and email parents provided we have correct contact details, please do let us know if these have changed.

A further source of information on school closures is local Radio, details below:

BBC Radio Bristol – 94.9 fm

    Heart – 96.3 fm

    The Breeze- 107.2 fm

Unless you hear a closure announcement the College will remain open and your child should attend if you are confident that he/she will arrive and return safely.  Obviously we understand that if there is no transport from your area, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to get your child into school.

If a weather front arrives later in any day we may have to close earlier than anticipated.  In such circumstances all local authorities have confirmed that transport should be able to arrive early and the College website will be regularly updated with information.  Please ensure that your child has a door key to get into the house if you are still at work.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
