Should contact rugby be banned in school?

Schools are concerned about the risks of their students  becoming seriously injured while playing contact rugby and the complaints they will get from the parents.  In my opinion, contact sports doesn’t really become dangerous unless if you’re not wearing the right clothing and this does make a difference, for example if you’re playing rugby without wearing your mouthgaurd and you end up losing most of your teeth, it’s you fault.Contact rugby wasn’t the reason for that incident. It’s those people who think that they don’t need to wear the right things. So why should we ban good sports?

Some health experts says that contact rugby causes dislocated shoulders, spinal injuries and head injuries which can have short-term, life-long, and life-ending consequences. And they’re probably right, but kids in school do contact rugby for fun, taking away something they like, wouldn’t solve the problem. Another reason is that likelihood of a kid ever becoming badly injured while playing rugby is 20%-40%, depending on their age.

Some kids say that playing normal rugby has no point because all you do is run and these kids still feel that contact rugby is safe. And if we do go against their wish, they’ll probably still play it.
